Enjoy The Wayne Show Episode 1 Episode #1 of the Wayne Show is finally out. Mostly a brief introduction and a glimpse into the direction I hope to take the show. The show is syndicated on the podshow network. -Wayne It’s been a while since Microsoft unveiled Vista to a waiting world. Now the web-rumor mill is indicating that the beta version of its first service pack release is only two weeks away. Tech site zdnet.com credited unnamed sources when saying that the release will be available around July 16. A full version is expected in November, it said, meaning that the release would have only been at beta stage for a strangely short four months. Makes one wonder if this release is a rush to market. I’ve changed the overall theme and presentation of the site to reflect a more professional atmosphere in keeping with the direction we are headed in. You might never even see or hear it. But if you do enjoy: -Wayne Using the Window’s key combos can be a great time saving shortcut for navigating around your system. For example pressing the windows key plus the letter D will minimize all open apps and show you the desktop. Pressing the windows key plus the letter E will open the contents of “my computer” …..etc
Now sometimes, when you do one of these key strokes, windows is busy and it appears nothing happened so you do the key stroke again, sometimes several more times and all of a sudden multiple copies of your window opens up all stacked up over itself sometimes an inch deep. Then you find yourself spending 3 minutes closing all the extras. Yes, this has happened to me more times than I want to admit!
With Windows 98, ME, or XP this wasn’t too big of a problem except for the time it took to close down he extra windows. NOT SO WITH VISTA! Vista for all its might has an achilles heal Hold down the windows key plus the letter E for ten seconds will cause so many windows to open that Vista crashes. Your not able to close them like in systems of the past.
